Frequently Asked Questions
-
Every 4–6 weeks is ideal! That’s the length of your skin’s renewal cycle, and consistent treatments help keep your skin clear, balanced, and glowing year-round — but even having a medical grade skincare regimen at home is good enough, with facials every couple months for a deep cleanse and exfoliation.
How often should I get a facial?
-
You’ll see and feel a glow right away, but long-term skin improvement comes with consistency and proper home care.
How soon will I see results?
What are the benefits of regular facials?
-
Regular facials aren’t just a luxury — they’re an essential part of maintaining healthy, youthful skin. Consistent treatments deeply cleanse and detoxify your pores, boost circulation for that natural glow and keep your skin balanced and refreshed. Over time, facials help smooth texture, fade dark spots, slow down signs of aging, and make your skincare products work so much better.
Think of it as a gym membership for your skin — the more consistent you are, the more radiant, clear, and confident your skin becomes.
Will facials break me out?
-
Sometimes, your skin may “purge” after a facial as impurities surface — this is temporary and part of the healing process. Try your best not to pick at these breakout to avoid any scarring.
Will dermaplaning make my hair grow back thicker?
-
Nope! It’s a myth. Your hair will grow back exactly the same — soft and fine.
-
Avoid exfoliating, waxing or using active ingredients (like retinol or acids) 3–5 days before your facial. Come with clean skin — no makeup if possible!
For treatments like chemical peels or Microneedling, you will receive pre-treatment intructions!
What should I do (Or avoid) before coming in for my facial treatment?
What facial treatments is best for “acne-prone” skin?
-
The Clarity facial is designed specifically for acne-prone skin. It includes extractions, a sulfur mask, ALA (soothing) mask, ALA ampoule + blue LED therapy, and targeted serums to calm inflammation and clear breakouts.
If you want faster results and your skin will allow it — I highly recommend chemical peels! You will see amazing results even after 1 session, but minimum of 3 sessions is best.
Also note that its super important for clients to stick to a strict skin care routine at home — your esthetician will help customize a skin care routine for you.
What is a chemical peel?
-
A chemical peel is a professional exfoliating treatment that removes dead skin cells to reveal smoother, brighter, and clearer skin. Superficial peels work on the outermost layer with minimal downtime, while medium-depth peels reach deeper to target acne, texture, and pigmentation concerns for more transformative results.
I have sensitive skin, can I still get a chemical peel?
-
Yes! I offer gentle, customized peels that are safe even for sensitive skin types.
What does Microneedling do?
-
Microneedling is one of the most effective ways to truly transform your skin from the inside out. Using ultra-fine needles, this treatment creates controlled micro-injuries on the skin’s surface — triggering your body’s natural healing response. As your skin repairs itself, it produces fresh collagen and elastin, which smooth fine lines, fade acne scars, tighten pores, and improve texture and tone.
The result? Firmer, smoother, and more youthful-looking skin that continues to improve over time. It’s the ultimate treatment for anyone who wants long-term, natural rejuvenation and a radiant glow — no filters needed.
How many Microneedling sessions do I need?
-
You’ll notice a natural glow and smoother texture within the first couple of weeks, but the real transformation takes time. As collagen and elastin continue to rebuild beneath the surface, your skin will keep improving over the next several months. Peak results are typically seen around 3–6 months after your final session.
For best results, a series of 3–6 treatments spaced 4–6 weeks apart is recommended. After these treatment series, it is recommended that you maintain the results every couple months!
What is collagen and why is it important?
-
Collagen is the protein that keeps your skin firm, smooth, and youthful. As we get older, our skin makes less collagen — which leads to wrinkles, fine lines, and sagging.
That’s why treatments that boost collagen, like microneedling or LED therapy, are so important! They help your skin repair and tighten itself naturally, giving you a fresh, healthy glow.
